Take a Look at the All-New 2019 Ram 1500

2019 Ram 1500 for sale

The Ram has been modernized for 2019 while keeping its best accomplishments, specifically its one-of-a-kind coil spring rear suspension that provides for a smooth drive. Changes do not forfeit the incredible towing and hauling capacity, making for a blank canvas that allows you to frame your truck purchase around your needs. The 2019 Ram 1500 for sale at Landmark Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram offers endless versatility.

A new accomplishment for the Ram 1500 in 2019 is its decreased total weight. Despite an addition of a more durable steel construction to its frame, the 2019 Ram 1500 is almost 225 pounds lighter than its predecessor was. Not only are there improvements to load leveling, off-road capability and ride comfort, the towing capacity and maximum payload have been amplified.

On the new Ram 1500, you will find a tempered engine hybrid assist technology named eTorque. Using a mechanism different from traditional gas-electric car engines, eTorque assists the automatic stop-start engine system and stores electricity in a lithium battery. In addition, it delivers short bursts of extra power. The option to have the V6 diesel 3.0-liter engine is not available on this model but we might see it again in future models.

The inside of the cab has been enhanced with luxury looking materials as well as an improvement on controls. The rotary shift looks nicer and is placed close to similar functions. The biggest improvement, however, is obvious, the fourth generation Uconnect system that can be paired to a touchscreen that spans eight inches, or if you want to go even larger, it can be paired with an impressive portrait-oriented twelve-inch touchscreen.

The turning radius has been improved to 46.2 feet which outshines the crew cab adversaries from Chevrolet and Ford. A new steering gearbox has been integrated by Ram engineers in order to effectively offset the additional length.

The front spoiler automatically retracts. The spoiler will stay up and out of the way for better driveway approach and off-road clearance when traveling at speeds lower than 35 miles per hour. When you travel faster, the spoiler drops 2.5 inches to improve fuel economy and smooth out airflow.

The V6 3.6-liter Pentastar with horsepower of 305 and torque of 269 pounds per foot and the V8 5.7-liter Hemi with horsepower of 395 and torque of 410 pounds per foot may appear to be unaltered on paper, however, the augmentation of the eTorque mild hybrid system bundled with the 48-volt lithium ion type battery significantly enhances both engine types.

There are two packages geared toward those who want to do some off-road adventuring - the new 4x4 Off-Road Package, and the Rebel Package. Both packages have the Ram 1500 standing higher than the standard Ram 1500; however, both utilize a lifted deviation of the coil spring suspension unlike the suspended Rebel from last year. The Rebel package provides extra clearance, a tougher front, optional air suspension, and an upgrade to 33-inch tires. Both the 4x4 Off Road and Rebel Packages have hill descent control and locking rear differentials. The Bilstein monotube shock absorbers from last year's Rebel Package have been enhanced by the addition of rear remote reservoir shocks.

2019 Ram 1500 Trim Levels

Providing a multitude of different options when it comes to body styles, powertrain configurations, and bed length, the 2019 Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup truck with endless possibilities. The majority of Ram 1500 trucks are Quad Cabs that can fit up to six people. Offering full-size rear doors instead of the standard quad cab three-quarter sized doors and more rear-seat legroom, an upgrade to the Crew Cab is available instead of the standard Quad Cab model. The bed size for the standard Quad Cab is six feet and four inches and you have an option of the bed size of five feet seven inches or the standard six feet four-inch bed with the Crew Cab model.

There are seven trim levels that the Ram 1500 offers - The Tradesman, HFE, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited

The V6 3.6-liter with 305 horsepower and 269 pounds per foot of torque engine is standard on all trim levels. A V8 5.7 Liter with 395 horsepower and 410 pounds per foot of torque engine is optional on all trim levels excluding the HFE. Both engine variations are rear-wheel drive, eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 3.21 axle ratio. Excluding the HFE trim level, four-wheel drive is offered on all trim levels. Most models also have smaller axle ratios of 3.55 and 3.92 available if desired.

The Tradesman trim level is a basic canvas with a few extra touches such as the Uconnect infotainment system, 18-inch steel wheels, a five-inch display with touchscreen capability, and vinyl upholstery and flooring.

The HFE is fairly similar in terms of equipment to the Tradesman level trim; however, it has a V6 engine that allows for better fuel economy. For now, it is only offered with rear-wheel drive.

The Big Horn trim level has stepped it up in terms of features, with the addition of a floor carpet, a 60/40-split folding rear bench seat, tinted windows, cloth upholstery, fog lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

The Rebel trim level is built more for off-road type adventuring and comes with front tow hooks, fortified suspension and shocks, a 3.92 axle ratio, specialized off-road tires, skid plates, electronic locking rear axle, and hill descent control. Building on the features of the Big Horn trim level, it also has LED fog lights and headlights, a power adjustable driver's seat, a bigger information display for the driver, a class IV hitch receiver, a 115-volt power outlet, front bucket seats, and satellite radio.

When you get to the Laramie trim level, you are in luxury territory that adds several of the optional features already mentioned along with leather upholstery, front outboard seats that are both heated and ventilated, power adjustable pedals with memory feature, keyless entry, front and rear parking sensors, 40/20/40 split bench front seats with power adjustability, position memory for the driver seat, and a heated steering wheel.

Encompassing all the features of the Laramie is the Longhorn that adds in a spray-in bed liner, power tailgate release, automatic wipers and high beams, upgraded leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped wood steering wheel, a CD player, 20-inch wheels, chrome side steps, front bucket seats, ventilated and heated reclining rear seats, and a navigation system.

The Limited trim level tops off all of the features in the Longhorn trim with a chrome exterior trim, premium leather bucket seats, rear cross traffic alert, standard adjustable air suspension, power retractable side steps, and blind spot monitoring.
